SAMR model

SAMR is a model for selecting, using, and evaluating technology in education, created by Dr. Ruben Puentedura.  As you are looking ant the resources and later talk about the model in class please think at what stage of SAMR model (which letter) will your students be while using the technology during your pbl activity? This pdf document contains the questions you should ask yourself in order to successfully transition from Substitution to Redefinition stage. Please try to answer the questions with the relation to your final project.

about The Leader in Me

Leader In Me is a philosophy based on the work of Dr. Stephen Covey’s book “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.” The goal of the Leader In Me is for students of all ages, even the youngest ones to understand that they all have the skills and essential qualities to become leaders.

Start by visiting the Leader in Me website

Here is the link to 7 habits for kids:

And here is one of thousands resources I found on Pinterest after I typed Leader in Me. Look at this poster. Could you apply these skills in your life? How so?  Perhaps you can blog about it?

Finally, follow Leader Valley on Facebook to see what's going on in schools in the Cedar Valley:

Week 1 : Getting Oriented :-)

by Nad

Welcome to the Creating Technology-Enhanced Learning Environments RWLD.

This is where you will find additional Readings, Watchings, Listenings and Doings (RWLD). This RWLD provides a simple method for sharing multimedia resources with students throughout the course.

Before we begin, however, It would be interesting to find out your learning style.

Begin by completing  Learning Styles (ILS) Questionnaire
  • Learn which learning styles are your strengths. Save your results, you will use them in your introduction.
