Visiting Lincoln Elementary

We will be visiting Lincoln Elementary School in Cedar Falls on Tuesday, March 23 instead of holding class. We will meet in front of the building no later than 1:55 PM - We have appointment with Ms. Colleen Nelson, Teacher -librarian at 2

In preparation for our visit, please read the  following:

Evaluating Technology Use in the classroom (including the Prensky's article mentioned in the link )

Also, while looking at the resources (apps) used by students keep in mind the rubric we used to evaluate OSMO products. You can download the Education App Evaluation Rubric here,  or you can just look at the one I gave you in print

You will be required to create a blog post in which you will address the described in an assignment elements

Week 1 : Getting Oriented :-)

Welcome to the Creating Technology-Enhanced Learning Environments RWLD.

This is where you will find additional Readings, Watchings, Listenings and Doings (RWLD). This RWLD provides a simple method for sharing multimedia resources with students throughout the course.

Before we begin, however, It would be interesting to find out your learning style and technological prowess. I know that you probably did this in your Ed Tech and Design class, but it would be interesting to see if anything has changed over the years.

Leader In Me is a philosophy based on the work of Dr. Stephen Covey’s book “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.” The goal of the Leader In Me is for students of all ages, even the youngest ones to understand that they all have the skills and essential qualities to become leaders.
